As a truly iconic location, London Aquatics Centre makes the ideal venue for a variety of different events. Situated in the stunning Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in East London, the centre combines architectural drama with sporting excellence.
The award-winning London Aquatics Centre – designed by renowned architect Zaha Hadid – is one of the most iconic sporting venues in the world. Its dramatic design and state-of-the-art technology have seen countless inspirational acts of sporting drama played out within its pools.
The centre is perfect for national and international sporting competitions – it has hosted prestigious events such as International Swim League, Super League Triathlon, British Swimming Championship, Sport Relief, National Paralympic Day and FINA Diving World Series, with the 50m Competition Pool capable of welcoming up to 2,500 spectators.
You too can experience some of that drama by hiring the former Olympic and Paralympic swimming pool for swimming clubs, filming, photography, product launches, brand activations, fashion shoots and more. It’s featured in ITV’s The Games and as a location for Netflix’s ‘The Swimmers’ alongside myriad others. We also have multipurpose spaces and a meeting room available to hire as backstage rooms or in their own right.
Travel to London Aquatics Centre
It’s best to use public transport when coming to and from the centre. There are fantastic transport links via train, underground, overground, bus and even bicycle.
The Elizabeth Line, Central and Jubilee underground lines, London Overground and Network Rail all stop at Stratford Station, which is just a 10-minute walk from the centre. Meanwhile, the London Overground also stops at Hackney Wick, which is a 15-minute walk. Furthermore, for cyclists, there are more than 140 cycle racks outside the centre.
If, however, you’re coming from farther afield, trains from central London (St Pancras International and Kings Cross stations) take just seven minutes to reach Stratford International, which is just a five-minute stroll to the centre.
