Wellsprings Leisure Centre is a modern building, opened in 2004.

The venue has the capacity to hold all kinds of events, from dog shows to sell-out crowd for comedians such as Jimmy Carr. We also run a very successful Christmas party programme, with six parties in December, providing a sit down meal for 500 people and themed entertainment until 1am.

We host a variety of sporting events, including the South West trampoline competition, acrobatics competitions, majorettes and roller derby matches. We were also the home of the Taunton Tigers basketball team. The team played in the semi-professional Nation Basketball League 1 and would regularly attract crowds of up to 350 people.

In 2016 we hosted a Russell Howard Charity comedy evening, which sold out in 48 hours with a capacity of 950, raising £24,000 for our charity Stand Against Violence. Other comedians we have hosted include, Jason Manford, Frankie Boyle, Alan Carr, Dave Spikey, Jethro, Ed Byrne and Freddie Star.

We have hosted a number of exhibition events over the years, including celebrated snooker players Jimmy White, Steven Davies, John Virgo and Ronnie O’Sullivan. We have also been part of the Strictly Come Dancing tour, with Ian Waite, Camilla Dallerup, Vincent Simone and Flavia Cacace.

We have also appeared on Sky Sports, during the very first the Darts Premier League and started with a sell-out crowd of 1000.
