Sunderland Aquatic Centre is situated only a stone’s throw away from Sunderland AFC’s Stadium of Light in the heart of the city centre.

We boast the North East’s only 50m swimming pool, which makes it ideal for hosting local, regional, national and international swimming galas (as well as international competition water polo). On site, we also have a café, which can cater for individuals, groups and gala catering.

Allied to this fantastic space, we also boast two studios that are ideal for smaller events such as meetings, conferences and seminars, while the two on-site dedicated meeting rooms are perfect for getting the job done and come with complimentary wireless internet access and all the kit you need for modern business.

The centre is easily accessible from north and south via the A1(M) and A19 and has excellent transport links to Sunderland and Newcastle Train Stations as well as Newcastle International Airport via the Tyne & Wear Metro system.
