As one of the country’s premier sports and leisure venues, Basildon Sporting Village plays host to sporting events of all levels, among other events.

The 1,254m²sports hall has capacity for up 850 people, making it ideal for a wide range of events, including exhibitions, sporting tournaments, fairs, music concerts and more. Meanwhile, the athletics stadium has seating for up to 750 spectators and all the facilities required for elite track and field events. We also have a number of outdoor playing fields available for hire that are perfect for the likes of car boot sales, community events and summer fairs.

Elsewhere, Basildon Sporting Village has a variety of meeting rooms and multi-purpose spaces available for events, including corporate events, team building days, religious gatherings, exhibitions and much more. Fast WiFi, audio/visual equipment and a PA systems are available too.

Lastly, there’s the 50m Olympic swimming pool which regularly hosts galas, other aquatic events and filming.

Basildon Sporting Village is situated within easy reach of London, as well as the rest of East Anglia to the north and east, with great road and rail links, while London Southend Airport is just 30 minutes away by car. Basildon rail station is just a few minutes away by car and the station itself is just 35 minutes or so from London Fenchurch Street station. The centre also boasts a free 400-bay car park for visitors to use.

Athletics Stadium

The 750-seater athletics stadium is one of the best-equipped in the area, with everything required to host elite-level track and field events. This includes long – and triple – jump pits, a hammer and discus cage, high jump and javelin facilities and an eight-lane, 400m track, complete with steeplechase jumps and sprinting markings.

Swimming Pools
